About The Knowledge to Nourish

The goal of The Knowledge to Nourish is to support parents and individuals who want to become intuitive eaters and raise intuitive eaters.

We live in a society that is hyperfocused on health and wellness. But all that has created is a lot of confusion, stress, guilt, and shame around food and nutrition. Not to mention increased rates of eating disorders.

There is so much pressure to eat “healthy,” feed our kids “perfectly,” and above all else, aim for thinness.

At The Knowledge to Nourish, the goal is to give you fact-based information so that you can:

  1. Stop dieting for good
  2. Enjoy food again without guilt and shame
  3. Nourish yourself and family with food that feels good and tastes good
  4. Raise kids who are confident in their eating and in their body

About Me

I’m Jackie- registered dietitian, certified intuitive eating counselor, and owner of The Knowledge to Nourish. My background is in clinical pediatric nutrition, and now I work with all members of the family!

My interest in nutrition started in middle school. This interest turned into an unhealthy obsession with “healthy” eating, and for a long time I struggled with a disordered relationship with food.

When I became a mother, I realized that food and body thoughts were taking up my precious mental space and energy and it was time to make a change…and more than anything, I didn’t want to pass this onto my children.

Once I found Intuitive Eating and the strength to reject diet culture, I knew I wanted to use my personal and professional experience to help others do the same.

My mission is to help parents and individuals become intuitive eaters and raise intuitive eaters so they can heal their chaotic relationship with food once and for all and end the legacy of generational dieting.

My training in medical nutrition therapy, pediatric nutrition, and intuitive eating can support clients with a variety of conditions such as disordered eating, eating disorders, maternal nutrition, picky eating in childhood, infant nutrition, and disease prevention/wellness.

I graduated with my B.S. in Nutritional Sciences from Penn State University.

When I’m not standing up against diet culture, I enjoy spending time with my family, biking, going for walks outside, dining with friends, murder mysteries, and watching a good Netflix show.
